About Lauren

Hello there! I’m Lauren, a wife and mother on a mission to make my life and home comforting to those in it. I have a passion for healthy meals, interior design, and natural living. I started County Line Cottage after falling in love with a 1932 cottage in rural Wisconsin that was situated on a county line.

I first learned the importance of creating a home when my husband, Matthew, was on Active Duty in the Marine Corps. We didn’t have a lot of money, and times were uncertain, but I strove to make every little home a place of peace, joy, and rest.

County Line Cottage is a site that aims to inspire your daily living with timeless cottage-style designs, healthy and homemade foods, and ways that you can live slower, more peaceful lives.
